Everyone is freaking out about iCloud, at least those with a penchant for Apple products anyway. At last there’s a way to get the music from your iPod to your iPad and your videos from your iPhone to your Macbook Pro without factoring in the riff-raff of wires and source codes and so on. For many it’s the first time cloud technology has been introduced to them. People either forget or don’t know that for the last two years Google has been working on their own cloud network too, in anticipation for a line of notebooks they plan to release. They also fail to see the simplicity in cloud technology, how they’ve been using it for years, and why it very well may be the defining nature of the way the Internet works for years to come.

“Cloud computing” has been the way email, online businesses, and social networks have worked for years. Instead of making users, customers, and members dedicate precious megabytes towards anything other than cookies, sites have for years now been holding onto user information and providing user interaction via networking capability, with the data itself originating and operating out of a single mainframe users access remotely. For years now companies have tried to figure out a way to expand this capability, for nothing can cut down on complication like getting everybody to operate on a single playing field. The problem is that many companies like Apple rely on their big profits from manufactured hardware. Selling cloud technology is all about convincing consumers that they don’t need sophisticated software and expensive hardware to perform many of the basic functions they need a computer for.

This is why I see a bright future for cloud technology. At the end of the day it’s going to be all about value. The Google Chromebook, while expected to flop according to most laptop reviews, is in some ways a marketed prototype for something Google surely expects to take off: cheap barebones laptops that do one thing: browse the internet. By providing a documents-maker and other essentials to Chrome, Google plans to make such a bargain piece of technology sound most appealing.

Meanwhile Apple is poised to utilize cloud technology for the complete opposite. They need it to justify ownership of several different devices, therefore they’ve decided to promote iCloud as a means to connect their hardware together and share what’s therein. Apple has no intention of ever turning their OS into something that caters strictly to remote programs and activities, or else they’ll lose a lot of money.

Unless they figure out a way to price the networked capabilities, which is the likely scenario no matter which company you’re talking about. Cloud networks of the future will most certainly be monetized in some way, so don’t count on a commune-esque post-program purchase society. Instead, simply count on a day when the importance of what comes with your computer is a thing of the past, and what your computer has access to is the way of the future.

If you have been dealing with the $400 notebook, it’s the cheapest way to pick up a functional laptop computer. HP on uniting with Wal-Mart has a powerful alternative named “real” laptop.

The Presarios CQ62 is a full-sized 15.6-inch notebook with AMD dual-core mainframes, available at a cost of just $398 (beginning this Sunday, June 13, 2010). That is lower than for you to pay off for a renovated notebook with small specs from those deal-a-day websites (or else about what you would bear for a notebook with a fraction of operation).

The Catch

It’s losing some of the characteristics on budget laptops, and also it’s available only in Wal-Mart.

Commonly, the laptop is flat with brick-like structure. But with its rough imprint finish, matte-black CQ62 has a stylish look. At 5.5 pounds, it measures 1.4 inches thick, it is notably compact with low price and big screen.

The right and left sides of the rounded optical drive consists of three USB ports

1. Local Area Networks,
2. VGA connector
3. Modem ports
4. Mic jacks and headphones.

Design

But there is no HDMI connector, no flash-memory-card slot, no eSATA port and no ExpressCard slots. Besides the $400 cost are for fingerprint reader and a Webcam. A few of those items you can live without is Presarios CQ62 if you are starting to use it.

The positive side is the ocular drive which is featured by 8*DVD burner along with LightScribes disc-labeling capabilities, Presario CQ62 includes a 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi wireless networking and 250GB 7,200rpm hard drive .

The Compaq Presario CQ62’s 15.6-inches screen is bright with image colors and videos. The Panel viewing-angle spot is constrained.

On moving far off-center, you will find a shift in brightness. Alternatively, the built-in Altec speaker presents a plenty of volume & good sound clarity for movies and even for web audios. But with budget machines, audio quality for music replay is a bit noisy and lacking bass.

We’re surprised by a keyboard on Presario CQ62. Several low-cost machine keyboards demonstrate flex, but unit on such machines has a solid sense. Flat-top keys also having a better quantity of up-down travel & widely spaced keys which are comfortable to type on.

We are happy to visualize that HP has turned up the use of the Function (”F”) keys, in essence giving you 12 hotkeys for activities such as mute, volume, next-track/last-track, screen brightness etc. If you are in need of accessing a function, you must press a Function keys combo.

Pros

Outstandingly low price
Passable performance
Large screen
Attractive Design.

Cons

Stiff mouse buttons
No memory-card slot
Webcam or HDMI port limited availability
Narrow LCD Viewing Angle.

If you want a very cheap laptop (notebook), CQ62 is surely one of those. Although it is lagging in some characteristics, it gives a good overall performance looking at its costs less than $400.

Apple’s 15 inch Mac Book keeps the same look and feel but it offers the internal changes like having an optional Intel core I7 CPU which makes it a very serious portable powerhouse.

The updates of Mac books are closely watched by the reviewers and the updates generally fall in two categories. 1. The major evaluation like switching to an aluminum body and 2. Minor updates like bumps to processor speed and hard drive size.

The both 15” and 17” inches model has changed their processors and they have switched to Intel’s Core I7 from older core 2 duo models. But 13”inch Mac Book still used the same processor. But mainstream i5 and i7 are available for Mac book.

Reviews:

It is priced about $1299 upto $2199

After changed by Core2 Duo it has the processor of Intel Corei7 M620 with 2.66GHz

4GB, 1066MHz DDR3 of memory

Having the hard drive of 500GB 5400RPM

Intel HM55 chipset

Snow leopard operating system 10.6.2

Moreover, it adds fast and has Core i5 and i7 processors with new Nvidia Graphics. Seamless switching between integrated and has discrete GPU’s

It has high price but still does not have HDMI technology in it. Also no blue ray or other high end options.

The Aspire one is line of the netbooks which has a bright spot in the line of Acer’s laptops. Appreciate to the company who had commit for rock bottom prices and decent if unexciting design and construction. The very new version of the Aspire is out now which is Acer Aspire One D260 23797 scores points for being small, thin and light weight. Even for a 10-inch notebook, even though it has a decent size keyboard and touchpad.

Currently it is available for $329; this laptop is right choice of entry level netbook price, despite of having good looks and elegant design. This is the first netbook which comes with Intel Atom N745 CPU, instead of having N450 version. The new CPU runs at 1.83GHz but it does not help Acer Aspire D260 to feel something faster than typical netbooks, it is actually more slow-moving then it is expected.

Features:

Has Windows 7 operating system, the most notable feature of this product is how small it is. The difference between other 10.1 inch netbooks bodies may be very small and at these small sizes every inch is been counted.

It has good small and thin design and large keyboard and touchpad which makes this product very good for use but is has merely average battery life and works slow on some occasions.

Allover it is a slim and lightweight even for a netbook , but its slightly faster processor don’t lead to better performance.

Seems like Sony’s too expensive, ultramobile, designer Pc is out of touch with today’s more affordable and very important smart phones with the package that doesn’t best any of the competition.

In 2010, the landscape is more important and very different in many ways such as manufacturers are having occasion in mobile computing, smartphones continue to evolve larger screens with more powerful software’s and processors. Tablets are becoming famous everywhere and when both of these products comes in questions the point of view is ultramobile pc.With all that keeping in mind Sony has approached new tiny Vaio p with the starting price of $899 with a skeptical eye.

This new Vaio has high-resolution screen and well-brought-up keyboard for its size but the odd extra wide screen layout combined with low powered atom Z550 processor leave this product behind in some parallel universe in which android devices do not exist.

It is slightly more expensive than others are. At $899 you can simply buy customers can also buy an I-Pad or android phone or atleast a netbook.you can also buy a high-end laptop with some spare change to apply. The equation will simply not for the ordinary man who is actually a technology collector.

The Sony VAIO P VPC P-113-KX has very light weight and eye catching design which sounds good for this product but it has mediocre battery life which is expensive and difficult to use.

The Vaio P also has built-in webcam placed on the side of screen. It also has few good features. It is having an accelerometer, which automatically change the screen from landscape to portrait.Gps is also Built-in.

Features:-

Intel processor 2GHz Intel Atom Z550.

Hard Drive of 256 GB SSD

Windows 7 operating system

2USB 2.0, SD card reader and Memory Stick Reader

Networking of Ethernet,802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi,Bluetooth and optional WWAN

There is been lots of excitement for the high impression Toshiba Libretto W100 since it was first announced in June 2010.This dual touch screen mini laptop is a limited edition showpiece designed by Toshiba to celebrate its 25th anniversary in the mobile computing business. In addition, this will be the experiment that pushes the borders between laptops, tablets and portable media players.

Despite there is a big thinking beside this laptop and its underpowered components, the Libretto W100 has done very good job as the company has expected in some areas including certain kinds of media playback and internet surfing. Moreover, it was surprising as the system is running over the windows 7 operating system over two all together displays. All from 1.2 GHz Intel Pentium U5400 and 2GB of RAM. According to Toshiba’s website, Libretto W105-251 sells for $1099.

Libretto slightly looks like oversized Nintendo DS, Toshiba Libretto has two 7-inch multitouch displays with the second looks like traditional keyboard and one would expect to find in this kind of clamshell design. To use the keyboard you have to just tap the side buttons, which are similar to I-phone and I-pad and keyboard will pop-ups to fill the bottom screen. If you tap the same button, twice you will get a virtual onscreen touch pad instead.

The ports and connectivity options in this laptop are limited but no more than it has seen other UPMC systems. There is a single USB port in this laptop, which is handy for plug-in an external mouse in a pinch and a micro SD plug also a basic web-cam is also available on the top of the screen.

Libretto is not completely compete against full sized laptops in a raw performance but it can deliver a good deal of its promises and is more important that it is frequently to use.

Since the Intel-Atom period has started, the company has been waiting for one thing Intel-Atom Dual-Core other than impressive power saving CPU’s.Normal laptops which are having single core atom are fine for basic things which is been done on computers but when just web surfing and typing is to be done than they can be just bogged down by bouts or seemingly random sluggishness.

The Asus Eee Pc will be the first Pentium netbook and they will be unportable to cross the desk with dual-core processor D252 version of Intel-Atom. The Asus Eee pc, which costs just $499, comes with almost everything, which we need, from current unportable, including high-resolution 12-inch display, NVIDIA Ion graphics and the most important think is it comes with Dual-Core CPU.

It has a perfect look but one may also wanted to throw that after the redesign of Eee Pc model no. 1018p which attracts customers with its thin metallic body. The keyboard is similar to the large sized typical keyboards which has island style keys on other recent smaller Eee pc Models with an extra vertical row added on the right side to accommodate page up, page down and other navigational buttons.

There is only a negative point about this product is other low cost unportables with AMD’s dual core are faster and they have flimsy keyboard and smart mouse buttons.

The Asus Eee Pc comes with combination of Intel Dual Core processor and NVIDIA Ion graphics and optimus GPS switching for an impressive overall package but still one can feel that it is feels a bit too much like netbook.

Features:

Price $499 and has a perfect look

1.8 GHz Intel Atom Dual Core processor D525

2GB RAM 800 MHz DDR 2

Having 250 GB of hard drive

Windows 7 home premium operating system

Screen size is just of 12 inches

VGA,HDMI video.

At the present time, the life is becoming faster day by day. The requirements are also changing with time. Connectivity with friends and other people is the most important factor to live a proper life now. Today we not only look for an internet but we want that the broadband should be mobile. The use of mobile broadband is increasing with a fast pace. With the help of mobile broadband we can use internet from everyplace and all the times. The mobile broadband market is so competitive that many companies are providing this service at a very reasonable price. Various broadband service providers like Vodafone, Orange, Talk-talk, 3 etc. are coming with various broadband deals to attract the buyers.

There are so many broadband service providers in the UK who are giving free laptop with a movable or house broadband service. In this way you can bank your cash because buying a laptop could be very costly. Mobile broadband is one of the fastest ways to connect with the internet because it is the USB dongle which makes the difference.

We can easily visualize the price of a laptop. Generally it is of 400 pounds which is really a burden for various populaces. The case can become trickier in the case of a student.

If you tell somebody about free laptop deals then it can be hard for them to accept it as true. However it is happening in the market now.

Now we simply cannot take a decision to take a broadband connection because we are getting a free laptop. Am I right? We have to check that whether the services of a particular broadband provider are good or not. It is the matter of our hard-earned money. We cannot compromise with the quality because it can affect our business also. Do not forget that first of all a broadband connection should complete the fundamental necessity of a high speed internet with proper connection. Other things would be able to come only after that.

Samsung has been a trendsetter of sorts in the notebook manufacturing, and with the announcement of the worlds first notebook with a AMOLED (active matrix organic light emitting display) display in the first half of 2008,it had caused a ripple in the fast evolving notebook niche. The OLED is a 12.1-inch active matrix display (AM), which stacks cathode with an organic and anode layers on top of a substrate that contains circuits. Now the bulk of the weight of a notebook is due to the display, the processor and the hard-disc. Hence a lighter display will reduce the weight correspondingly.

In an OLED (organic light emitting display) display, the pixels are due to the deposition of the organic layer in a discrete-’dot’ pattern.

Now there is a growing usage of this organic-light-emitting-diode-displays. It will definitely challenge the LCD screens in smart phones and such, however its adaptation to notebooks and PCs has been a slow process.

Basically the organic compounds in the OLED displays emit light when exposed to electricity. They have sharper contrast and brightness and the edges of images are more defined. Proving faster response and less power consumption then the LCD displays make them prime replacement material on LCD panel used in notebooks.

Walkmans and mobile phones with OLED have been in the market for some time.

Main attributes of being lightweight and better colour displays and contrast are premium features for its popularity in such gadgets.

OLED have the potential of replacing LCD panels in notebooks as it would make the notebook much lighter and the display better. Adaptation to TV is another option.

The main restraining factor at present is the cost involved. Present estimate is a 1.5 times increase in cost with the use of OLED to replace LCD displays. That would convert into raised notebook prices. The benefits being lighter and better displays.

Only Samsung has leapt into the business end of OLED notebook production, with the proposed release of an OLED notebook in the third quarter of 2010.However the pricing is going to be keenly watched in a fast evolving and highly competitive market.

It is worth noticing that Kodak, the producer or digital camera and camera films own the patent for the OLED technology.

On a negative note, that OLED displays lose the brightness faster being organic in nature. That is the big reason for its slow adaptation in bigger gadgets and television.

With increased OLED use and production, the volume will cause reduction in prices and allow its adaptation to notebooks to replace LCD displays!

Going a bit further into how the Active Matrix OLEDs will impact notebook production in the future will be a bit of a guess. Passive matrix OLEDs are already in use in cell phones and mp3 players.

Flexible displays using active matrix OLED’s is another interesting topic and is infact a mouth-watering prospect in viewing pleasure.

Samsung planned release in the third quarter of 2010, should bring distortion free and true colour into the laptop display and a lighter laptops into the market.
