HTC Touch Diamond Review

Like always the symbian platform has worked for HTC, now it’s not the only company using the OS, as there are some like the popular Imate which also using it. Now there is not much to dispute, there are quite a few things going for the HTC touch Diamond phone that has been launched recently.
Keeping it in the niche of the high end, high performance cellular phones would be fair as this phone comes packed with some robust features and an appealing and sleek look.
The touch interface is centred on a 2.8-inch touch scene, which is quite user friendly and compares equally if not better, then the iphone3g. The brushed metal faceted case gives it a quite regal look.
Coming to the performance, the Touch Diamond can easily take some heavy workload and watching you tube video, using google and emails are all easily done. Internet connectivity is via HSDPA connectivity, which has 2.0Mbps connectivity speed, which is comparable broadband Internet.
There are tons of features on this sleek phone, it comes with a hefty price of about £120, however depending on the carrier, and there are different variations in the tariff and price package offered.
To highlight the main features, HTC announces this to have a rather strong 3.2Megapixel auto focus camera, now combining with the autoflo 3D;this can be a very handy feature. There is also almost unlimited capacity as this carries an internal storage of 4 GB, which gives adequate scope for video, and audio.
As usual HTC offers good sould quality and the sound system is more then adequate.
Another feature is the HTC weather application that would be a bonus to get reliable weather updates. And when combined with the GPS navigation system integrated in the HTC touch diamond, this is a great feature. The software of the GPS system is integrated in the phone and one gets satisfied navigation experience.
The HTC touch diamond comes wrapped in a sleek case which is brushed metal and the dark looks are very much in line with its rather power packed features. However the options of colours are limited. However the screen is rather bright and easy to use.
Compared with a business phone like the blackberry, or an out and out Internet capable phone like the iphone3g, The HTC touch diamond, is a hybrid carrying features of both.
The various carriers are offering different rates with the HTC touch diamond, and T-mobile, orange and o2 are offering free handsets along with 400-600 minutes talk time along with upto 1000 free texts, for a 24 month package at £25-£40 line rental.
Off the shelf price of about £ 120 is not that huge too. So overall, although it falls into the price range of the high-end phones, it has the features to boot.
Overall the HTC touch diamond is worth taking a look as this is a feature packed phone, with an aesthetically pleasing package and no doubt will have some dedicated admirers.
The vote would be 4 out of 5, considering the lack of 3G features and the rather high price. Otherwise this is on gadget, which one must have.
