Lenovo Thinkpad X301 Review
Earlier this year Lenovo released their next generation note-book which is similarly the upgrade version of Lenovo ThinkPad X300.recently they had updated their X300 to X301.they have made many improvements from it’s already predecessor we can expect more useful and great thing from X3001.
SAME STURDY DESIGN:
When it comes to the designing point of view it has the same design as the other ThinkPad note-books. Some of the users say that it is dull but some believes its effective and simpe. It is all the matter of choice of the users. The fact that we all have to accept that ThinkPad machines are far more power full form the other of its rivals like HP, DELL. The X301 laptop weighs a little less than 3.5lbs with an 8X DVD burner and a 6-cell battery equipped. The exterior of Thinkpad X301 is squared off and has a matte black finish. Its dimensions are 12.5 x 9.1 x 0.9, and just like its predecessor the X300, the sides are slightly tapered. The X301 is a beautifully constructed machine with Lenovo’s internal roll cage design and a carbon and class fiber interior, which according to Lenovo, is not only stronger but lighter than titanium.
The keyboard provides the rubberized soft touch pad which feels a softer grip and comfortable for the user to use the X301. The X301 has all the three connectors with USB port 2.0, the other is Ethernet, microphone and headphone jacks, DisplayPort, and a VGA connector. The bad thing is there is no memory card slot in the laptop so you have to use the USB to load your card.
RESOLUTION AND SPEAKERS OF X301:
The X301 provides a LED-backlit, 13.3″ (1440×900 resolution) display with a matte finish that prevents most glares. The resolution really makes the difference from the other note-books. The LED-backlit keeps the display alive and cool when using in outdoors. Included with highly rich colors and the wide viewing angle of the screen provide the best quality for the DVD’s and other files. The speakers are located in the palmrest with a tremendous sound quality load and clear. On the top of the display screen there’s the 1.3mega pixel webcam located which is helpful for your video chat.
With the high resolution (1440×900) 13.3″ screen .the X301 note-book is awesome for suffering on web and viewing html documents just of its rich color resolution. The LCD display is so outstanding. The X301 has wide screen which is very enjoyable for the users to enjoy their DVDs.
THINK VANTAGE ERGONOMICS:
In the older models of ThinkPad no one could ever provide the most comfortable keyboard such as X301 keyboard. The keyboard is definitely got the high spot in the business class just because of the spacing in the keyboard letters. The biometric reader provide in the ThinkPad is another special feature to provide protection of the business documents for unauthorized purpose.
PERFORMANCE:
The base configuration is equipped with 2GB of RAM and an Intel Core 2 Due (1.4GHz) U9400 Ultra Low Voltage processor. The ThinkPad X301 achieved a PC Mark Vantage score of 3157, which is 400 points higher than most ultraportables. It’s a great score, but still falls about 60 points shy of the Sony VAIO VGN-Z530N’s and almost 500 points shy of the Lenovo ThinkPad X200.
