windows 7We as PC users really never get fed up by the Microsoft Windows® experience. They just keep it coming again and again with the best operating systems in the world. After giving us the Windows XP® and Windows Vista® they yet come with another OS for the PC users. Yes, it’s a new one. Well we could have gotten it earlier but the development was delayed due to the production of Microsoft Windows Vista®. After the release of Vista it was again worked on from 2006. In 2008 its name was decided as “Windows 7”.

This time Microsoft has brought it a lot no I really mean a lot of changes in the new OS.

Firstly the appearance has changed quite a lot. Microsoft has increased the availability of themes and visual backgrounds. Theme packs can be customized according to the need of the user. A lot of country related themes have been included which according to the user’s country shows the theme.  A new feature called the Desktop Slideshow has been included which changes the background after customizable time intervals. Gadgets return from Windows Vista and have slight changes in their appearances and interfaces. New Gadgets have also been included. A lot of work has been done on the taskbar. The size has been increased by 10 pixels. The quick launch has been changed to a more user improvised iconic interface. A peek of the window has also been included which is visible when the mouse is pointed over inactive window icons. An aero peek has been featured which allows the user to view the desktop with only a button. This makes all the active windows transparent allowing a clear view of the desktop.

Touch input method has also been included in the Windows 7. This enables the user to input data with the use of graphic pads or other peripherals. According to the CEO Windows 7 is taken to a next level in speech features and handwriting recognition. For Windows 7 Direct X 11 has been released which would also feature HD options. According to some tests Windows 7 boots way faster than the previous windows too. The Windows Media Centre has been updated too. Now with a sleek new look it also features playback of MPEG 4 videos both locally or from a media extender. Now the Xbox 360 can also be used as an extender to play videos. A new feature called the Protective Broadcast Driver Architecture is also included which is used when the user chooses to use a TV tuner card. Calculator application has now added to a number of new functions and programs. The outlook of WordPad and paint has also been changed to the new ribbon interface and much more.

Well one can keep going on listing the superb features of Windows 7. But the thing is to avail from it as soon as possible. It is scheduled to be released in October officially so you better be ready to get and feed you PC the best yet.
