Nokia N-97 Review

nokia n97You know many of you might say” My laptop is giving me the maximum benefits, it isn’t delivering enough, I need something as fast as my Laptop but it should be compact too!” By now you were left alone in the dark with that thought in your mind. But now the answer has arrived, and that is the new Nokia N-97. The Nokia N-97 was officially announced in December 2008. It walked out in the market as a giant in 2009. By now Nokia has released many cell phones, but now they have stopped referring to it as a PDA phone or a smart phone rather they are referring it as a mobile computer. Nokia has really installed a lot of features in their new beast. It has been made by Nokia based upon the S60 5th Edition, with 32 GB of internal storage memory and externally supported 16 GB of storage space.

First of all is the slider feature. Nokia N-97 is the first mobile to feature a stand like a laptop for its slider keyboard. The Nokia N-97 features two input methods for the users. The first is the touch screen which is made of scratch resistant glass, also installed with separate touch foil and touch feedback. It also futures motion sensors which automatically switches the phone from horizontal to landscape mode.

Other input mode is the QWERTY based keyboard situated under the touch screen. It also features separate dedicated keys for Camera mode and the control of volume. The screen is supported by a special hinge which gives the phone a sort of a look like a Laptop.

The connectivity features also do not end so quickly. It allows the use of various GSM, EDGE and HSDPA frequencies. For the use of internet it allows connection through GPRS and Wi-Fi supports. This has made the new generation of internet access of mobiles so smooth and easy that one doesn’t gets enough of the internet.

The camera for N-97 has been utilized to make it as good as hell. It features a 5.0 Mega Pixel camera by Carl Zeiss with auto focus. It also has a built in 2 LED Flash and also features 4x Zoom in Picture Mode whereas it has 2x Zoom in the Video Mode. This also enables video conversation or conference.

The interface has been developed quite user friendly for easy access of your favorite tool. The start menu can be customized by the user’s will and he or she can change every shortcut present there. By that the users can access the internet on a single click, so that you remain “Online as it happens” . It also contains GPS system allowing map viewing and navigation softwares. The internet can be accessed in browser mode or the full screen version. Typing has been made really sleek with the user friendly keyboard so that surfing the net feels just like a PC.

Nokia N-97 doesn’t ends so quickly and keeps it coming one by one. And really that keeps your mouth drooling to get your hands on it. So I would say for all the business tycoons out there or the PDA lovers: “Go Get’em Tiger!”
