RIM which stands for Research In Motion has now unveiled its first tablet offering called “playbook”

This device will be launch in US by next year and it will be available in the market until second half of 2011 but RIM has not yet announced the price of this tablet.

This device is 7mm and 9.7mm thick which RIM’s president and co-CEO Mike Lazaridis first introduced in the at the company’s DevCon event in San Francisco, this tablet features an HTML-5 browser  with both front and rear facing HD cameras and HDMI and USB ports.

In addition, on other side it runs with Dual-Core 1GHz chip and has 1GB of built-in RAM. This tablet will also come with the special and attractive version of Blackberry software that can feature multitasking and 1080p video playback. Other interesting features include 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi and can support adobe flash 10.1.

The co-CEO of the company has also said that this device is enterprise ready and it can be able to fit with company’s existing server architecture.

The initial version of playbook will not be appear with 3G or 4G cellular antenna and instead users are expected to pair this device with the blackberry phones (via Bluetooth) to enable data connectivity between both of the devices when it is out of range of WiFi connection
